MaiaCo was established to help Gary take control of its economic and cultural destiny, drive growth and opportunity in the city and connect Gary residents to that opportunity.
In July 2016, the City of Gary Redevelopment Commission (GRC) and MaiaCo entered into an innovative public-private partnership that gives Gary the resources required to purchase blighted properties and get Gary’s land working again for its residents.
